Anyone can use this page, with or without a MotorDex account. Use it to tell us about content in MotorDex that you believe is illegal, to complain about how we keep people safe, or to ask us to review a decision we made about your content or account. A person reads every submission.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police now (112 in the EU, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US). For child sexual abuse material you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline or your national hotline. Do not download, copy or share the material, even to report it.

A SEXUAL IMAGE OR VIDEO OF YOU, FROM WHEN YOU WERE UNDER 18?

Report it with the form below: choose REPORT ILLEGAL CONTENT, then SEXUAL IMAGE OR VIDEO OF ME WHEN UNDER 18. We only need an email address where you want us to write to you. Please do not send us the image, and you do not have to describe it.

We email you a confirmation straight away (always within 36 hours), then an update every 7 days, and our final decision within 30 days — we aim to decide within 7 days. If something outside our control delays the decision, we tell you and give you the new date. A person, never an automated tool, makes the decision. If there is a reasonable basis to believe the material is child sexual abuse material and we find it on MotorDex, we permanently block it from being seen on MotorDex and look for other copies of it here.

Anyone can use this, wherever they live; it is also our reporting mechanism under section 3273.66 of the California Civil Code. Someone else reporting it for you, such as a parent: choose CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL and give your email, and you get the same confirmation, updates and decision.

THE FORM

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

We confirm receipt by email straight away, with a reference number (for example MD-1A2B3C4D5E). We never repeat your words in our emails.
A person reviews it. Reports of a child at risk, a threat to someone's life or safety, self-harm or suicide, terrorist content or an intimate image shared without consent are looked at first. We check whether the content is illegal or breaks our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. Our automated screening may already have checked the content, but on this form a person makes the decision.
We act where needed: we may remove or hide the photo, remove a profile photo, change a username, or suspend or close the account. Where the law requires it we preserve the material and report it to the authorities, including when a life may be at risk.
We email you our decision, the reason for it, whether any automated means were used, and what you can do if you disagree. Complaints are answered the same way; we aim to reply within 14 days.

A report of a sexual image or video of the person reporting it, from when they were under 18, and a report of child sexual abuse material that gives an email address, also get an update every 7 days and a final decision within 30 days (see above).

The player concerned is told what we did and why, with how to appeal, in the app, except when content is removed for a child-safety reason. We do not tell them who sent the notice, unless the law requires it or it is strictly necessary (for example, a rights holder's name in a copyright claim).

IF YOU DISAGREE

Ask us to review it. Reply to our decision email, or use this form and choose REVIEW A DECISION, within 6 months. A person — where possible one who was not involved in the first decision — looks at it again and tells you the outcome. It is free.
In the European Union you may also take the dispute to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act. The European Commission publishes the list of certified bodies.
You can always go to court. None of these routes takes away your right to do so.

WHAT WE KEEP

We keep what you send — including your name, your email and, if you answer it, whether you live in California — only to handle it: to review it, act on it, reply to you and defend our decision. It is deleted 12 months after our decision, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example a legal hold or a report to the authorities). We do not store your network (IP) address: to stop abuse we keep a scrambled code of it that changes every day and is erased after 2 days. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights.

Include: where the content is (handle and which photo), why it is illegal, your name and email (not needed for child sexual abuse material), and the statement that your notice is accurate and complete and made in good faith. For a sexual image or video of yourself from when you were under 18, please use the form above if you can.
