MotorDex is a game where you photograph real cars and collect them as cards. It is for players 13 and older. We comply with child-safety and privacy laws, including the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This page is our published child-safety standard: it says what we prohibit, what we do to keep younger players safe, and how to reach us if something is wrong.

MotorDex prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

WHO CAN PLAY

You must be at least 13 to play. We ask your age when you set up the app. Anyone under 13 cannot create an account. If we learn that a player is under 13, we delete the account and its data.

A player under 18 can only play after a parent or guardian has acknowledged our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for them.

WHAT WE DO

• Age check at sign-up. The app asks your age before you can play.
• Parent acknowledgment. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian to acknowledge the Terms and Privacy Policy.
• Screening. Every photo and every handle (player name) is screened automatically before it can appear. Our staff review reports and flagged content.
• Report and Block. In the app you can report any catch and block any player. Blocking hides that player and their content from you.
• Location off by default for under-18s. For players under 18, location is off unless they turn it on. Catch locations are never shown to other players at any age.
• Hidden from the public leaderboard by default. Players under 18 do not appear on the public MotorDex World leaderboard unless they choose to.
• No personalised ads, no selling data. MotorDex shows no ads inside the app and we do not sell personal data.

CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION (CSAE) IS PROHIBITED

MotorDex prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind, by anyone, anywhere in the app. That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), any sexual content involving a minor, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and using MotorDex to contact, groom or exploit a minor. This standard applies to every player, every photo, every handle and every profile, and it is also in our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use.

How we handle CSAM. If we find child sexual abuse material, or it is reported to us, we remove it, preserve it as the law requires, report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and close the account. We cooperate with law enforcement.

Child-safety laws. We comply with the child-safety laws that apply to us, including COPPA and the US federal law that requires online services to report apparent CSAM to NCMEC (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), and with the child-safety rules of the Apple App Store and Google Play.

HOW TO REPORT A CONCERN

You can report from inside the app, without leaving it:

• In the app: on any catch in the feed, open its menu and tap REPORT THIS PHOTO, or BLOCK to block that player. On the World leaderboard and in your friends list you can REPORT a name or BLOCK a player.
• By email: write to us with CHILD SAFETY in the subject line. Tell us the player's handle and what you saw. Describe the content; please do not forward the image itself.

We act on child-safety reports promptly. You do not need a MotorDex account to report.
