DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT

You can permanently delete your MotorDex account and everything stored under
it, at any time, for any reason. You do not need to contact us first, and you do
not need to give a reason.
Paying monthly for Pro? Cancel the
subscription first — deleting your account does not stop the billing.
How to cancel
1 — DO IT YOURSELF
Immediate, and does not require contacting anyone.
- Open MotorDex
- Go to Settings — the gear icon, top right of HOME
- Scroll to Account
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT, then confirm
2 — ASK US
If you have already uninstalled MotorDex, lost access to your device, or
cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Subject line Account deletion request, and include the
email address or handle on the account so we
can find it.
We action these within 7 days and reply to confirm. We may
ask one question to check you own the account — we will never ask for
your password.
WHAT GETS DELETED
Permanently, with no way to recover it:
- Your account and sign-in details
- Your handle, profile photo, and Spotter License
- Every catch, and every photo you scanned
- Dex progress, XP, level, badges, and streaks
- Friends, reactions, and anything you posted to the feed
- Your scan history
WHAT WE KEEP
Only what the law requires, and only for as long as it requires:
- Purchase and tax records — held by the app stores and
our payment processor, not by us, and no longer linked to your gameplay
once the account is gone.
- Abuse records — if an account was removed for abuse, a
minimal record remains so it cannot simply be recreated.
Neither can identify you as a MotorDex player. Neither is used for
advertising or sold to anyone.
CANCEL FIRST
If you pay for MotorDex Pro monthly, cancel the
subscription BEFORE you delete your account. Deleting the account does
not stop the billing — the app store charges you, not us, and it keeps
charging whether or not the account still exists.
You do not need your MotorDex account to cancel: the subscription belongs to
your Apple or Google account, so this still works after the app is gone. But it
is far easier to remember while the app is still on your phone.
- Android — Play Store → profile icon →
Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MotorDex → Cancel
- iPhone — Settings → your name →
Subscriptions → MotorDex → Cancel
A one-time Lifetime unlock is not a subscription. There is
nothing to cancel and nothing further to pay.
